Ayurvedic Remedies for Varicocele

Varicocele, a testicular enlargement disorder that affects around 15% of the male population, can be cured through natural and Ayurvedic methods.
Ayurveda suggests the use of herbs for the treatment of varicocele.

But if the varicocele leads to infertility or testicular atrophy or causes you pain, you might have to undergo surgery to repair the varicocele. Corrective varicocele surgery is known as varicocelectomy. It can be done as either an open surgery or laparoscopically. This will help transmit the blood flow into veins that have not been affected, while sealing off the vein that is affected. Another surgery option is varicocele embolisation, where a catheter is placed in either your groin or neck from which a coil is released to help repair the flow of blood.
Later, you can start with herbal medicine like Mucuna pruriens , the best herbal treatment for low sperm count and other problems related to semen. It is a natural substitute for male hormones and stimulates the testis to form healthy active sperms.

Ayurvedic Treatment for Varicocele (No Surgery Required)

Healthy Diet for Natural Treatment of Varicocele

Another home treatment that you can try is planning a diet that’s conducive to health. Foods that should be avoided include margarine, junk food, animal fats, processed foods, caffeine, hydrogenated oils, sugar, fast foods, alcohol, and white flour products .

Whole grains, fish oil, fish, olive oil, essential fatty acids, flaxseed oil, poultry, and fresh fruits and vegetables are highly recommended. Foods with high fiber content will help as they aid in the digestive tract to work normally. Lack of sufficient fiber could lead to constipation, which, in turn, leads to pressure on veins in the bowel region, and the floor of the pelvis.

Including foods that contain flavanoids is also advisable as the blood vessels will get stronger. Organic food is preferable, and make sure that you are hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids, particularly water.

Yoga for Treatment of Varicocele

Yoga also offers cure for Varicocele. Yogasanas like dhanurasana, shavasana, padmasana, matsyasana, vajrasana with proper support helps to improve blood circulation, thereby reducing stagnation.
