According to a new study it was concluded that fathers with smoking habit are more likely to have asthmatic babies. The study involving 13,000 people showed that smoking before conception led to an increased risk of non-allergic asthma in children. It was also seen that there was an increased risk of asthma if the father smoked before the age of 15, and the longer they smoked meant bigger the risk. The study results also mentioned that exposure to any kind of air pollutants also has an adverse effect on the baby. So just like a mother’s habits have a great impact on the fetus, it is seen that fathers also have an important role to play.
