A study in US shows that vegan diet holds a lot of promise for fibromyalgia patients. A strict diet consisting of only grains, fruits, vegetables, nuts and tubers was shown to be helping people with fibromyalgia. This helped them manage their pain and improve their mobility. The research participants found it difficult to adjust to the new diet as they could ate only natural foods and had to avoid packaged and processed foods.However, with these changes they felt an improvement in their quality of life.
