Cereals Don’t Make the Healthiest of Breakfasts!

Just as your morning mood determines your day, your morning breakfast sets you up for the day. Choosing the right a.m. meal gives you enough energy and helps you avoid overeating over time. If you have to choose between cooking your breakfast and an instant one,  go for the former option. Though processed cereals are popular and sought for owing to their fancy advertising, they are not the best for you.

The sad truth is that most of these cereals are like volatile sugar bombs. While they may give you an initial gush of instant energy, after a while they make you lethargic. So instead of going for these sugary quick fixes take some time off to prepare a warm breakfast. A protein based breakfast with different egg or cottage cheese or smoothies with fruits makes a great start.
