Do Padmasana (Lotus Pose) every day to improve your concentration, prevent abdominal problems, and to stay calm.
Steps to do Padmasana:
– Sit on a mat on the floor, stretch out your legs in front and keep your spine erect.
– Fold right leg. Place right heel on left thigh.
– Fold left leg. Place left heel on right thigh.
– Place hands on knees with palms facing upwards.
This position is best for meditation or pranayama.
If you find it difficult to sit in the Padmasana pose for a long time, you can also sit with just one heel on the other thigh. This pose is called Ardh Padmasana.
